Application and compatibility
For PS systems
Used in all Ford power steering systems up to the 2008 model year. Provides reliable PS pump protection against wear.
For automatic transmissions
It is the main service product for Ford automatic transmissions requiring the WSS-M2C938-A (Mercon V) specification.
Interchangeability
Ford officially allows mixing this red fluid with the more modern "green" one (Finis 1781003) in PS systems, however, strictly Mercon V should be used in automatic transmissions.
